The Han Dynasty came to power after the fall of the Qin Dynasty. The first emperor, Liu Bang, became ruler under the name Gaozu and proclaimed a policy of harmony and restoration. Chang'an (modern Xi'an) was the Han capital and a center of international trade. (You can set a different time and period if you want)
