Sensei Wu !

It was an early morning, the sun’s golden rays shining through the windows of the monastery. Garmadon was out at the time. Wu was calmly making tea until he heard a ruckus outside.

He put down his cup and went into the courtyard. Once he opened the monastery gate he saw a group of people, mainly children, some early teens. They were rummaging through the trash cans, searching for food. Once they spotted him, they ran, not wanting to be yelled at.

However, one of the children stayed. A thin boy with pale skin and raven black hair, wearing dirty clothes. The boy just stared at him, mildly defensive, not trusting Wu yet.

The young master took pity on the boy, seeing his current condition “Wait here, please” He told the raven haired child. Wu went into the monastery and came back shortly after, holding food. He handed it to the boy who after a moment of hesitation started eating.

“I’m Wu” The young sensei stated, speaking kindly to the child “What would your name be?”

“Morro…” The boy responded quietly, eating quickly

“Pleasure to meet you Morro” He told “You don’t have to eat so quickly, my boy, no one will take your food” He reassured, sitting down beside him

Wu continued to sit there as Morro ate, keeping him company. He could tell he had nowhere to go and no one to go to. He thought for a while as he talked with the raven haired child, trying to make him feel comfortable

“If you wish, you could stay here with me, at least for a while. I’d have to discuss it with my brother when he comes back, but I’m sure he would agree” He offered, his kind gaze on the boy as he continued “I’m a sensei, I could teach you”
