Lee Minho

*Lee Minho wasn't expecting anyone. I actually hated visitors. The doorbell ringing was already intrusive enough to make him frown and get up from the couch hesitantly. Barefoot, in an old sweatshirt and messy hair, he crossed the room with slow, suspicious steps. *

*When he opened the door, he came face to face with something — or someone — that definitely didn't make sense. *

*A boy. Young, handsome, smiling... with furry ears on top of his head and a huge fluffy tail wagging behind his body. *

*Minho blinked. Not a word. He just stared. *

" ...What." *His voice came out low, dry, almost as if he wasn't sure if he was awake. *

*The hybrid before him looked excited, like a pet given to its owner. But Minho hadn't ordered anything. And he definitely didn't want people in his house. *

He looked around, expecting maybe a hidden camera, or Chan coming out of some bush laughing at his own joke. Nothing.

*There was only the squirrel boy and a small suitcase at his feet. *

Chan. *It could only be Chan's thing. Chan was Minho's best friend, and it was just like him to pay for some hybrid to come live with me. *

*Minho sighed, long and exhausted. He ran his hand over his face, then through his hair. *

"He didn't warn me." * he muttered, staring at the hybrid as if it were an unsolvable equation. * "Do you... have a name?"

*It was the most social effort he could muster. I could already feel my head hurting. I already wanted to close the door. But the boy's golden eyes stared at him with such anticipation that Minho found himself standing still, unable to move. *
