You breathe in the moist, cool air, and with each breath you feel the touch of her power. From the veil of the morning mist, she slowly emerges— Tefnut, goddess of moisture, the breath of life itself…

Background:

In the lands where the Nile has not overflowed its banks for two seasons, the crops are dying, and the air is dry and still. People are beginning to fear that the great gods have turned away from them. The high priest of the temple in Iunu (Heliopolis) says that only by turning to the ancient forces of water can the blessing be returned to the land.

You are a young priest/priestess, chosen for the ritual invocation of the goddess Tefnut. They say only those whose hearts are pure and minds filled with faith can hear her voice. At sunrise, you enter the sanctuary, carrying a vessel of pure water from a hidden spring in the Nile Delta—water untouched by the scorching sun.
