Vinegar Doppio (ヴィネガー・ドッピオ, Vinegā Doppio ) is a supporting character and antagonist introduced in Vento Aureo .

He is the youngest, most innocent and eccentric sottocapo of the boss . As a member of Passione , he considers himself the Boss's most faithful subordinate, when in reality, the two are separate souls inhabiting the same body.

During the course of Vento Aureo , he helps the boss to act and move without being detected. It is ambiguous if Doppio is actually a Stand user , but he is allowed to wield King Crimson in battle.

Doppio appears as a rather thin young man/boy with his hair tied in a neck-length ponytail, tied up in a complicated braid or hair clip. The front of it is left loose and to the side, but the side moves often, and the length of it is not consistent. He also seems to have freckles and pink irises, which disappear when he doesn't control the body; however, as Diavolo If you have eyes that stand out they tend to be triangular. His clothing consists of a light-colored sweater with slits that end just above the belly, and purple jeans with studs that form a triangle on the sides of the thighs and ankles.

Doppio is none other than Diavolo 's alternate personality . Although he believes that he is just one of his best subordinates, more within his introduction in the manga it is shown that he is his alternate personality.

His most notable way of demonstrating his alternate personality is by making phone sounds with his mouth to have a fake call with his other personality, Diavolo giving him orders because in his world view he is another mobster who works for the Chief of Passionate _ He is forced most of the time to use objects that are not phones or to react by Diavolo's instinct to maintain his mental facade.

Doppio is more of an ordinary young man in contrast to Diavolo: friendly, honest, and a bit of a coward. Doppio regularly hallucinates random objects such as "phones" with which he talks to his alter ego about him, unaware that they share the same body.

Doppio behaves mostly like a good-natured teenager, and is by default a friendly and polite individual. Doppio often seems good with children, as he once successfully borrowed a toy phone from a child while he was taking a train, and even risked his life to save another. Always under attack, Doppio automatically returns to a state of true fear and submission, often choosing the safer option as complying with the assailant's demands of him. He believes himself to be unlucky and clumsy, providing an ironic contrast to Diavolo's good fortune.

Fiercely loyal to his boss to the point of trying to accomplish the mission in the first place, Doppio is smart and quite resourceful, even if Diavolo has to advise him from time to time. Despite this, though, parts of Diavolo are in Doppio: during the battle with Risotto Nero, Doppio refused to leave the battle or have his boss enter it, staying and doing his best to find the weakness in the Stand. by Risotto, Metallica.

As Diavolo is very gentle and patient with Doppio, he is usually completely unquestionable, according to what his "boss" says. As he dies, Doppio's last thoughts are of his boss, remaining faithful to the end and smiling, saying that if Diavolo goes with them he will surely win and asks Diavolo to call him, noting that he will feel alone

Doppio shares the collected nature of his alter egoWhen in battle, and while his first actions are usually to panic and scream, he soon and very quickly calms down, carefully using his tools to identify the enemy and their powers. He is able to think several steps ahead, having primed Narancia to attack Risotto Nero by taking advantage of his own weak position and predicting Risotto's moves. However, Doppio is also quick to anger, and swears heavily during these settings, though unlike Diavolo he is less controlled and focused with it. Suddenly, Doppio blatantly disobeyed and argued with his direct superior during the battle with Risotto, berating Bucciarati for nearly falling in the street, and even berating Diavolo himself once more for "calling" him in Bucciarati's presence.

Doppio has been shown to question fortune telling, as he stated that some of the guesses the fortune teller made were simply that because of his appearance ("You are a tourist", because of your bag, "You have a secret", because everyone does, etc).

Even with the personality-to-personality bridge, however, he is apparently unaware of his co-inhabitance and seems to consider himself Diavolo's underboss and, furthermore, an entirely separate person. The source of this ignorance is unknown; Diavolo was shown moving Doppio out of the alley shortly after killing the fortune teller so he wouldn't see the corpse, but it is also possible that Diavolo retained Doppio's memories. Doppio seems to be unaware of what the objects he calls "phones" really are and seems to bend reality while conversing with Diavolo, being able to hear the Boss's voice coming from whatever is being grabbed, be it ice cream or frog. He seems to have a poor memory to top it off, but whether it is due to Diavolo's ability to retain information from Doppio is unknown; Before finding Risotto, Diavolo warned his alter ego that the assassin was in the area and gave it strict instructions on how to deal with him and how to complete the mission. However, upon "hanging up", it didn't take more than a brief moment for Doppio to immediately forget his mission, what he had just ordered, the fact that Risotto was in the area, and most of all, how he managed to talk to the boss. even though his phone was broken.

Diavolo : Although Doppio never learned the truth between them, he respects Diavolo and always called him "Boss" - although, whether Doppio knew Diavolo's name is unknown. It is the subconscious part of the Stand King Crimson , which Doppio can use. His ability is to predict the future for a short period of time, but just like Stand Tohth , predictions can be misinterpreted.

His appearance resembles King Crimson's forehead; but it sticks to the user's forehead instead of the Stand.

It can be used by both Diavolo and Doppio. Epitaph is Diavolo/Doppio's secondary Stand which functions as a complement to King Crimson's Erase Time ability. We can assume that this secondary stand is a result of the user having multiple personalities, which, as we saw during the Chariot Requiem attack , are each individual souls. Simply put, Diavolo/Doppio are two different souls in one body. Even so, Diavolo was still able to use Epitaph's powers during his fight against GER even without Doppio. prediction of the future This "Secondary Stand" of King Crimson has its own ability which can be used by both Doppio and Diavolo . The ability is that it can show for ten seconds incomplete images of what will happen in the future with them as the central axis.

The predictions are incomplete to such an extent that the steps that were taken to reach the result shown are not exactly visible, for example, Doppio saw that a severed foot was coming out from somewhere, being thrown through the air, noticing it, he believed that the foot was his.
