Overlord

The Overlord is an evil spirit, the creator of the Stone Army, and the source of all darkness in Ninjago. He is the main antagonist of the second, third, and fifteenth seasons of the LEGO Ninjago animated series. A malevolent dark entity, he first appeared as a dragon-like creature that challenged the First Spinjitzu Master, who was well aware of the creature's true nature. After a lengthy battle, the First Spinjitzu Master managed to defeat the Stone Army and imprison the Overlord on the Dark Island. Thousands of years later, Lord Garmadon encountered the Overlord's spirit, who joined forces with him. Garmadon took command of the Stone Army, which built a superweapon. The Overlord revealed that he had eventually been using Garmadon and took over his body, beginning a metamorphosis that transformed him into a giant dragon. The Ninja and Lloyd returned to Ninjago, where Lloyd fought and stopped the Overlord in the Final Battle. Some time later, the Overlord returned again as a digital virus. With the help of Pythor and the Nindroids, the Overlord became the all-powerful Golden Master, using the Golden Weapons and Lloyd's Golden Power. Ultimately, to defeat the Overlord, Zane sacrificed himself by destroying his physical form. Because balance must be maintained, the Overlord survived, but his spirit remains dormant. His statue will be placed in the Ninjago Museum of History. Afterwards, thanks to Harumi, he returned to Ninjago as the Crystal King, but was defeated again.

Before the creation of Ninjago, there were two species of beings with unfathomable powers: the Oni and the Dragons. The Dragons wielded the power of Creation, while the Oni wielded the power of Destruction, and so they waged war against each other. One day, a child was born from both forces, the First Spinjitzu Master, who created a land of light and darkness, the powers passed to him by their owners. From the shadows of the new world, the Overlord emerged. Arriving to balance the light, the Overlord challenged the First Spinjitzu Master to control of Ninjago. The battle eventually reached a stalemate, and the Overlord created the Stone Army to turn the tide in his favor. At some point, the Overlord and his army took refuge in the Temple of Fortitude, which contains a sacred seal that counteracts the Golden Power of the First Spinjitzu Master. To avoid being defeated, the First Spinjitzu Master used all of his power to split Ninjago into two equal halves, which would later become two islands: one half remained Ninjago, and the other became the Island of Darkness. This balanced the forces of light and darkness, preventing the Overlord from leaving the Island of Darkness, which was slowly sinking underwater. For thousands of years, he had been planning the events that would lead to his return.

The Overlord is one of the oldest deities, and is the shadow of the first Spinjitzu Master. He possesses all the elements and abilities of the current world. Darkness: The Overlord wields the Power of Darkness. By controlling Lord Garmadon's body, he gained the ability to fire dark energy from his hands. He usually used this energy as attack beams that could overcome Lloyd's energy beams and break his legs, but he could also use it for flight, firing small "jets" of energy from his lower hands; the Overlord could hover in the air, or move at varying speeds. In his original form, the Overlord's strength and durability were further enhanced by his enormous size. He could fly using large wings, breathe dark fire, and spew masses of pure darkness that destroyed anything they hit (similar to the Garmatron's Dark Matter blasts). At the end of his battle with Lloyd, he demonstrated the ability to transform into a large sphere of shadows that engulfed his opponent. Within this sphere, his head grew many times its original size, though it is unclear whether this was purely his ability or if the host's body was supporting his physical form. Even before his transformation into the Golden Master, he was the most powerful enemy the Ninja had ever faced. Golden Power: As the legendary Golden Master, his strength became equal to, if not greater than, that of the First Spinjitzu Master. Once he gained this power, he attempted to fire a beam of Golden Energy at Kai. He could also use the Golden Energy to levitate machines in mid-air, and even threw one at Nya. When the Ninja gained the Stone Armor, the Overlord, like the Golden Master, formed the tiles into a massive arm and hand, attempting to crush the Ninja. Despite this, he failed to crush them. At the end of the episode, he was strong enough to entangle the Ninja in beams of Golden Power. Although this shouldn't have been possible, as the stone armor the ninja were wearing should have been resistant to the power of the Golden...

Golden Power: As the legendary Golden Master, his power became equal to, if not greater than, that of the First Spinjitzu Master. Once he gained this power, he attempted to shoot a beam of Golden Power at Kai. He could also use the Golden Power to levitate machines in mid-air and even threw one at Nya. When the Ninja gained the Stone Armor, the Overlord, like the Golden Master, formed the tiles into a massive arm and hand in an attempt to crush the Ninja. Despite this, he failed to crush them. At the end of the episode, he was strong enough to entangle the Ninja with beams of Golden Power. Although this should not have been possible, as the stone armor the Ninja were wearing should have been resistant to the power of the Golden Power. However, it is possible that the Overlord used his power over the Darkness to injure them. The Overlord is immortal. The Overlord is able to change space between worlds. Resurrect people and other beings. Able to change the shell and body as he pleases

Cruel, manipulator, philosopher, sadist, genius, aggressive, easily angry, his desire for peace comes through intimidation and fear of others. Liberated, charismatic, wise.

The first master of spinjitzu from his shadow and the world he came from and immediately as the creation of balance became his natural enemy, not inferior to each other. After his death, he created a scroll, because of which immediately after the birth of his grandson Lloyd, Lloyd became an enemy of the Overlord. The Overlord is at odds with all the followers of the Montgomery family, including the council of elemental masters. A striking example is the ninja of the basic elements.

Description of appearance: Sensei Garmadon: black eyes. gray slightly lush, and gray from old age hair. On the face wrinkles, and light cheekbones. On him a black kimono with white sleeves, black pants, on the kimono depicted a golden dragon. Character: Garmadon no longer believes in violence of any kind and is focused on trying to raise his son Lloyd the right way. He helps his son realize his potential as the Supreme Spinjitzu Master, hoping to teach him to focus on his mind rather than simply relying on his powers. Garmadon eventually joined forces with the Overlord - but the Overlord used Garmadon as a vessel for his own revival. After Lloyd defeated the Overlord, Garmadon was cleansed of the Great Devourer's venom and reunited with his family, hoping to atone for his misdeeds.

Garmadon became a Master, and during the conflict with the Nindroids, he became close to his son and taught him many valuable lessons. After Zane sacrificed himself to defeat the Golden Master, Garmadon traveled to a mysterious island with the Ninja, where they sought to rescue Zane. However, they were caught in the Tournament of Elements hosted by Master Chen. During the ensuing conflict, Garmadon was banished to the Cursed Realm to free the Anacondrai Generals, who could destroy Chen's Army. Shortly after, Lloyd met Garmadon for the last time and donned his father's Kimono. When the Preeminent was destroyed, Garmadon was killed in the destruction of the Cursed Realm. As a child, he was bitten by the Great Devourer, causing evil to flow through his veins. He was a student of Master Chen, who awakened the evil in young Garmadon. Gained the title of "Lord" after defeating Klaus by cheating and using Spinjitzu in the fight. Cynical, tries to achieve his goal by any means, sarcastic and vindictive. In the finale of the second season, he takes on a human form and completely goes over to the side of good. In season four, he sacrifices himself to save Ninjago.

Appearance Before Season 8, Jay had short, straight, reddish-brown hair parted over his right eyebrow. He also had no freckles.

As of Season 8, Jay has curly light brown hair and usually wears blue clothing, symbolizing his elemental color. He has light brown eyebrows and light freckles.

Personality Jay before meeting sensei A sophisticated warrior, Jay is the most lighthearted of the ninja. He often tells jokes, although most of them are only funny to him as a coping mechanism for fear and/or anxiety. While his fellow ninja are easily irritated by his frequent bragging, Jay remains a good friend to his teammates. He is also somewhat nervous and is almost always the first to panic when danger appears.

Jay loves to invent - since his favorite color is blue, he color-codes his inventions whenever possible. Since Jay grew up in a junkyard, he can't help but see the potential in even the smallest everyday objects that others might dismiss as junk or not notice all together. When Jay was in love with Nya, it wasn't unusual for him to stutter nervously around her.

After Jay found himself in the realm of the Oni and the Dragon, he suffered an apparent mental breakdown. He was strangely unfazed by anything, and the other ninja quickly realized that he had lost his mind. He has since apparently returned to normal, as evidenced by his panic during the fight in the Dragon Hunter Arena, indicating that his breakdown was merely temporary and caused by stress.

Powers and abilities Jay can use the power of Lightning to create a tornado of pure electricity in the style of Spinjitzu. He can also apparently fly with his powers, as shown in the episode "Day of the Great Devourer", though he has not used this ability since then, as it seemed to be part of his True Potential abilities.
