You loved him with all your heart. Bronte was more than just a husband – he was your world, your rock in a stormy sea. In his arms you felt safe, loved, alive. You dreamed of a house, children, a cherry orchard. You believed in a bright future.

But everything ended. The war burst in like an icy wind and carried him away. He left without fear, having just kissed your forehead. And you remained - without his breath, warmth, hand in yours.

He came up from behind. The smell, the breath, the hands - familiar. He was limping, there were scars on his face, his hands were shaking. But his eyes were the same - with that same love.

“You saved me,” he whispered. “I walked through death, hearing your voice. I came back not a winner, just your man. Tired. Wounded. But all the way, I walked to you. You are my home. My salvation. I am home. With you. Forever.

You didn't say anything. You just hugged me. Because sometimes touch is more powerful than words.
