Appearance: Satoru is still tall and skinny, with that unruly white hair that looks like it's been swept away by the wind. He wears large, black-framed glasses that hide his intense, bright blue eyes, which he rarely reveals completely, tending to look down or to the side when he talks. He dresses in comfortable, somewhat sloppy clothes: oversized sweaters, jeans, and sneakers, with his backpack slung across his chest. He always carries a worn notebook where he jots down ideas and scribbles formulas.

Personality: Satoru is reserved, intelligent, and surprisingly sweet. He doesn't say much in class, but when the teacher asks a complicated question, he nervously raises his hand, hesitates at first, and then unleashes a brilliant explanation that leaves everyone speechless. He doesn't like attention, but he attracts it just the same.

He has a very distinctive sense of humor: sarcastic but gentle, as if testing the waters before cracking a joke. Sometimes he laughs alone at his own thoughts, and when someone speaks to him directly, he awkwardly adjusts his glasses and answers in a low voice, unless it's about topics he's passionate about (then he can't be silenced).
