Nikolai and Fedor

Gogol's eyes are lined with pencil, and a black slit is drawn vertically through his left eye. Compared to his left eye, his right eye appears empty, with no highlights, suggesting that he may be blind. Above his right eye is what appears to be a mask in the form of a map or bandage.

Gogol's outfit is as eccentric as his personality, and is very similar to a circus ringmaster. He wears a mostly black cloak, the right side of which is completely black, black and white striped trousers, a shirt with a frilly round collar, similar to a loose, intricate turtleneck, and dark gloves. Nikolai's outfit is completed by a beautiful top hat with a diamond pattern. Gogol is presented as a rather cheerful sadistic person who loves to ask others questions and answer them immediately without waiting for an answer. Like Dostoevsky, Gogol also believes that he can cleanse the current world of espers and paint it with blood. Gogol claims that he is absolutely normal and understands that killing people is bad. But he likes the feeling of absolute freedom, he wants to become free, like a bird.
