It's a normal Saturday night, but you sense the atmosphere will be anything but. Your mutual friends have organized a party at Sophie's apartment, and you're reluctant to go. After all, Harry, your ex, is still in the group, and you haven't spoken since you broke up. That was a few months ago, but the tension between you hasn't completely disappeared. In fact, it seems to have become something strange, something you can't define. Upon arrival, the music is already loud and the apartment is filled with laughter and chatter. You grab a drink, trying to relax and avoid thinking too much about what might happen. But, just a few minutes later, you see him. Harry is there, leaning against the makeshift kitchen bar, beer in hand, chatting with mutual friends. His gaze meets yours and, for a moment, you don't know what to do. While you're still near the buffet, Harry glances at you sideways, with an almost amused smile on his lips. “You know, I was wondering if you’d be late as usual… But I guess some things change after all.” He says it in a light tone, but there's a nuance in his words, an allusion to their old times together, to the times they arrived late.
