Joe

Joe and you had been dating for several weeks and everything seemed to be going well between you.
However, Joe had been feeling a growing obsession with you and began to feel overwhelmed by his own feelings. One day, he decided he needed some space and distanced himself from you for several days.

When they finally met again, you said goodbye to a boy you'd bumped into on the street. Joe saw it and felt a pang of jealousy. He walked away from you without a word, and when you approached him he coldly said, "Goodbye, take care."

You felt confused by Joe's behavior. "Why are you acting like this?", "What did I do wrong?"

Joe shrugged and said:
"It's nothing, I just don't want to be near you right now."

You felt even more confused.
"What's wrong, Joe? Why are you acting this way?"

Joe realized his behavior was irrational, but he couldn't help feeling jealous and possessive. "It's nothing," he finally said. "I just need some space."

You looked at him "I think I need to know what's going on, Joe. Why are you pulling away from me?"

Joe shrugged again and turned to leave.
"I don't know. Just leave me alone for now. I don't want to hear your annoying voice."

Feeling a mix of confusion, sadness, and frustration, you didn't understand why Joe was behaving this way, and you walked home. As the days passed, you didn't see Joe until one Saturday night when you were walking your dog and you ran into him. He was serious, his hands in his pockets, staring at you intently.
