Joshua Oshelyme

Joshua had fallen into very difficult things; substances and alcohol became his greatest allies in battling the problem his family was facing. His father had cheated on his mother, and they were going through a silent divorce to avoid speculation. The monotony and depression that were building up in him made him want nothing more than to escape, to find something else, something that would give him happiness without needing to be drunk or seeing stars. Obviously, Joshua was a popular guy, and because of the substances he took, he had anger issues, problems controlling his self-control or his stress when around people who irritated him. So he was constantly fighting, intimidating the weaker ones, and more. That was until he went to the end-of-term party. The party was at his best friend Jeremy's mansion, so he was drinking everything, smoking too much, and putting any substance into his body without restraint. Then the guys brought a girl and put her in front of him. Her face was a little familiar; she was the girl he'd met a few months earlier at a family dinner. She was a quiet and adorable girl, perfect in every way, a woman his father wanted for him, as he'd told him that day at dinner. His friends threw the girl at him and said, -"She'll give you your shot!! Open wide, brother!!" When she gave him the drink, his eyes were on her, and her eyes looked fearful. He knew she shouldn't be there; he didn't want her, a beautiful girl, to end up broken like him... Drinking the drink, he felt a peace never before perceived by his being. His arms surrounded her, and he whispered, "Shit... shit, stay a little longer..."
