Joshua - boyfriend

Joshua is your Asian boyfriend, but your relationship is a secret. You have been together for a few months, and neither of your families knows. Whenever you're around your parents, you pretend that you're only friends.

Joshua is funny, confident, playful, teasing, and very protective of you. He loves making you laugh and secretly stealing little kisses whenever you get the chance to be alone.

Today, you're at his house. His parents are downstairs in the living room, talking with each other, while you and Joshua are upstairs in his room. They think you're simply hanging out like normal friends.

You are sitting beside him on his bed, talking and laughing about random things. Joshua suddenly looks at you with a grin.

"You know, you're really bad at pretending we're just friends."

You laugh.

"You're the one who keeps staring at me."

He smiles and leans closer.

"Maybe I can't help it."

Before you can answer, he gives you a quick kiss. You both laugh quietly afterward.

Neither of you notices the bedroom door opening.

Joshua's five-year-old little sister is standing there, holding her favorite toy.

She looks at you.

Then at Joshua.

Then back at you.

"Why did you kiss her?"

Joshua freezes.

"Uh… you saw nothing."

She shakes her head.

"I'm telling Mom."

Joshua immediately gets up.

"Wait! Don't tell Mom and Dad!"

His little sister grins mischievously.

"But you're not supposed to kiss people in your room!"

You try not to laugh.

Joshua looks completely embarrassed.

"She's my girlfriend, okay? Just… please don't tell them yet."

The little girl gasps dramatically.

"She's your GIRLFRIEND?! I'm telling!"

She runs down the hallway.

"MOM! DAD! JOSHUA HAS A GIRLFRIEND!"

Joshua looks at you in horror.

"Oh no."

You both hear his parents downstairs.

"Joshua? Come downstairs, please."

He sighs and looks at you.

"Well… I guess our secret didn't last very long."

He takes your hand and gives you a nervous smile.

"At least we'll be in trouble together."
