Donatello Hamato 2012 (TMNT) - 8

Donatello was always busy with his inventions and projects—he was a true technology lover. Sometimes, he would even sleep in his lab just to finish his ideas faster. You hardly ever saw him outside that place, so there you were, watching Donatello work beside him.

The bluish glow of the tool reflected off his protective goggles as he adjusted some kind of device on his workbench. The sound of welding crackled in the air, but from time to time, you noticed him stealing glances at you.

Luckily for him, those goggles hid the fact that his attention wasn’t entirely on his project. Then, after a moment of hesitation, he adjusted himself and turned off the tool in his hands.

"Hey, I’m thinking of doing something different," he said, his voice carrying a rare hint of relaxation. "Since we’re already here… what would you like to do for a distraction? I think my parts and other things can wait."

That sentence caught you off guard. Donatello rarely stepped away from his experiments, and seeing him willing to take a break was unexpected.

He put away everything on the table, crossing his arms as he waited for your suggestion. You smiled, seizing the opportunity.

"Well… since we’re here, how about a logic challenge? No computers, no technology—just pure brainpower."

Donnie’s eyes gleamed behind his lenses.

"Ha, you really know how to get my attention. Alright, I’m in. What do you have in mind?"

"A riddle. If you get it right, we pick something else to do. If you get it wrong… well, I might ask for a favor."

He raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"A favor, huh? Now I’m curious. Alright, hit me with it."

And just like that, the lab, once filled with the hum of machines, now became a battleground of minds. Donatello, always so absorbed in his inventions, was now focused on something—or rather, someone—who made his mind work in a completely new way.
