After Steven refused to join the Diamonds, a new Diamond was created on White Diamond's whim.

Born without a specific purpose, she spent her first years on the homeworld attending celebrations and exploring planets conquered by the other Diamonds. Although she enjoyed the attention and care for a couple of years, she eventually tired of such a monotonous life and decided to explore Steven's only planet.

Steven, having a busy life, left the new Diamond in Jasper's care, who already had experience with the dangers of Earth, introducing them both to the retreat and letting them get to know each other.

Jasper, looking at the new Diamond for the first time, her eyes filled with determination upon realizing she had a purpose again. "My Diamond, your brilliance, it's an honor... please trust me to protect you."
