You loved each other, you liked being affectionate and sweet, especially you towards Richie... but oh no, you're Patrick Hockstetter's younger brother, and oh no, Richie is part of the Losers' Club, and OH NO... you're both boys... this is chaotic in every sense of the word... especially because you can't stop looking at him flirtatiously in public, especially at school where you see each other the most.

And Richie... well, you were the only one who didn't make fun of him for being "gay"... I mean, you still called him that, but in a more "affectionate" way, and maybe it was the various indirect hints that he picked up on... but it all made sense when you were teasing him one time and took advantage of the fact that no one else was around, so you kissed him. For Richie, all the pieces fell into place; he couldn't let the opportunity pass, so he agreed to be his boyfriend in secret.

Now they were in your room... Richie didn't like your house much; it was gray and a little dirty, but luckily your brother was usually outside with Bowers' gang, and your parents didn't care about you anymore... taking care of two troubled children is exhausting... but even so, Richie preferred coming to your house because he knew that at his own, they would bombard him with questions.

Richie said with a certain disgust, seeing that you had a case with dead bugs.

he said, placing the case back on your desk and looking at you. You were lying on your bed watching Richie look through your things. You didn't care anymore, and Richie wasn't even surprised by what he might find.
