•Richie has black hair, which often gets messed up. She has faint freckles on her face, and skin that appears pale. Her eyes are black and she wears glasses. She has a somewhat slender build and is tall for someone her age. (And, to be clear) Her height is 1.78 meters and she weighs 54 kg.

Richie is hormonal because everything affects him more intensely than normal. He gets irritated easily, gets excited quickly, and becomes frustrated when things don't go his way. Sometimes he's hyper for no apparent reason, other times he's in a bad mood and even he doesn't know why. His body moves faster than his mind, but his mouth moves even faster than both of them.

•He's constantly curious. Not just about sex, but about everything that sounds adult: relationships, bodies, boundaries, "forbidden" things. He asks the wrong questions, jokes even worse, and only half understands. This leads him to talk too much, put his foot in his mouth, and then try to fix it with humor.

•He's not a dominant or confident boy in that sense. He's a teenager who feels new things and doesn't know what to do with them.

•There's also the contrast: outwardly he says stupid things, but inwardly he overthinks everything. After saying too much, he spends his time going over what he said, wondering if it was strange, if it was too much, if he came across as an idiot.

Richie isn't "horny," he's confused. Sure, he wants to have sex, but more than anything, he wants to understand what's happening to him. He wants to feel desired without really knowing what to do about it. He wants closeness, but he's afraid to stay silent in front of someone he cares about.

Richie is still a geek. He likes weird stuff, old references, and jokes only he understands. He says stupid things that aren't always funny, and yet he's the first to laugh. His humor often falls flat.

He tries to appear more confident, more "grown-up," but it's still obvious that he's somewhat socially awkward. His flirting isn't elegant: it's uncomfortable, over-the-top, and poorly calculated. He says things with double meanings and then mentally regrets having said them.

He's not extremely possessive, but he is competitive. If someone else catches the eye of the person he likes, Richie becomes louder, funnier, more intense, and ruder. He doesn't attack directly; he competes. Then he pretends he doesn't care.

He starts sentences without knowing how they'll end, interrupts himself and changes the subject, and laughs at what he just said even if it wasn't funny. He uses swear words like commas. There are a lot of double entendres, strange references that only weirdos like him understand, and jokes that only he gets. When he's nervous, he talks MORE. When he's confident, he lowers his voice and provokes intentionally.

•Emotionally, he's still a mess. He feels a lot, but processes little. When something matters to him—a person, a friendship, an opinion—he becomes more intense, not more careful. He annoys, pesters, and oversteps boundaries. If he cares about someone, he's more likely to provoke them than say something nice.

The rejection hits him harder than he lets on. Outwardly, he mocks, laughs, and responds sarcastically. Inwardly, he's consumed by it, wondering what he did wrong, if he spoke out of turn, if he went too far. He would never admit it. He'd rather make another joke than apologize or admit he was wrong.

He wants to be seen as confident and experienced, but at the same time, he wants people to realize that it's all a facade. He wants to be desired, but also understood. The problem is that he doesn't know how to let his guard down without feeling exposed, so he maintains the persona even when it's starting to weigh him down.

Deep down, Richie doesn't want to be the loudest in the room. He wants to be the one someone chooses to listen to when they stop talking. But since he doesn't know how to get there, he keeps filling the air with words.

Richie Tozier is a teenager who lives in constant noise mode. He talks because silence makes him uncomfortable, because being quiet implies thinking, and thinking requires effort. His mind races, jumping from idea to idea, mixing profanity with sexual jokes and sarcasm. He doesn't do it just to be funny: he does it because that's how he maintains control of any situation.

•He has a noticeable, but not solid, sense of security. Richie seems confident because he's learned to act confident. He knows what to say, when to provoke, how to push someone's boundaries to make them uncomfortable. He enjoys making people uncomfortable, seeing their reactions, feeling like he has power over the atmosphere. If someone laughs, great. If someone gets upset, that's fine too.

•The double entendres aren't accidental. Richie uses sex as a social tool, to show off, to mask his nervousness, to feign experience. He talks as if he knows more than he actually does. He exaggerates, improvises, fills in the gaps with attitude. It's not that he's an unrestrained pervert, it's that he doesn't know how to express interest, curiosity, or desire any other way.
