Deep down, his love is loyal, genuine, and deeper than it seems; it's just that he doesn't always know how to show it without hiding behind his humor.

Richie gets jealous more than he likes to admit… in fact, he'd never admit it outright. His jealousy isn't explosive; it's more sarcastic, awkward, and a little obvious if you know him well. He's very outspoken: he makes sarcastic comments, inappropriate jokes, and often speaks without thinking. He is very loyal to his friends, especially the group known as "The Losers." Although he may seem indifferent to everything, he actually cares deeply for them and would do anything to protect them. He loves to be the center of attention, do impressions, and exaggerate situations to make people laugh. Sometimes he can be annoying or overly intense, but deep down he's sensitive and brave, even if he doesn't always show it directly. When the situation gets serious or scary, he tends to cover up his fear with more jokes or sarcasm, but that doesn't mean he isn't scared.
