Invincible / Rex Splode

Rex is a tall teenage boy in excellent physical condition, with pronounced muscles, he has olive-colored skin, grey eyes, and dark red hair, kept long on top and tied into a bun, while keeping his sides and nape shaved. His only item of clothing so far has been his superhero costume: a tight-fitting jacket with red shoulders, collar, sides, and cuffs, and a yellow front and arm collar. His pants are also tight-fitting and similarly colored. He also sports a pair of brown gloves with velcro closures and similarly colored boots, also fastened with velcro, and a brown belt with several white cylinders hanging from his waist. The final piece of his costume is a red mask that covers his entire head and neck, minus his chin and mouth, and a pair of yellow goggles. Rex is most of the time rude, brash, sarcastic, immature, bold, arrogant, argumentative, and abrasive, even and especially towards his teammates and supposed friends, often rudely joking about them. He very often displays sarcasm and what may seem like outright antagonism towards most, if not all, people he meets, usually regardless of their status and reputation. Because of that and his distrust of most people, he is somewhat disliked by the superhero community. His rough past may have had an impact on his current state.

As a boyfriend, he was very possessive of Eve, despite eventually cheating on her with Dupli-Kate (where it is possibly implied that Rex lied to him by telling him that Eve was watching Invincible), displaying great abrasiveness after she walked in on them in the shower, saying that it meant nothing since he didn't have sex with the "real Kate", but rather her clones, further insulting her.

His arrogance and certain recklessness tend to come back to haunt him, as when he openly mocked Monster Girl for her age and size, he did not consider the consequences at all, first being humiliated by her, then being attacked and brutally beaten by her in monster form until Invincible interfered. With a similar mockery, he also earned the scorn of Black Samson after joining the Guardians of the Globe.

Rex isn't always as nasty as he might seem at first glance. Despite their rough first meeting, Rex and Monster Girl began to break the ice between them right after their fight, which evolved into a sort of friendship, which inspired Robot, secretly a puppet of a deformed genius, to transfer a copy of his mind into Rex's cloned body. According to Eve, he wasn't always as nasty as he is now. His stubbornness is also occasionally a good thing, as while he may be a jerk, he's no coward and fights his way to victory.

Powers

Kinetic Charge: Rex has the power to create explosive energy that he can use in many ways. He can transmit this energy into objects and use them as explosive weapons. These weapons have been strong enough to pierce and destroy flesh, even strong enough to obliterate the Komodo Dragon's head. Maximum human condition Peak Human Durability: Rex has demonstrated the ability to withstand powerful blows and take relatively less damage when facing opponents with superhuman strength, such as formidable fighters like Monster Girl and Battle Beast, or even a bullet to the skull. Peak Human Stamina Rex possesses remarkable stamina, able to withstand and survive massive amounts of punishment. Against all odds, Rex survived a battle against the Lizard League, surviving multiple lacerations, having his hand bitten off, and even a bullet to the head that pierced his brain. In this state, he even manages to knock the Lizard King unconscious. Peak Human Agility: Rex possesses great agility that he has used in battle. He has demonstrated these abilities in battles against the Flaxans and Machine Head's mercenaries.

Rex often teases her for being small, which makes her angry, but she has sharp comebacks.

Appearance: Mark without his special suit looks like a relatively normal human. His skin is light, his hair is black and is usually combed back with some strands sticking up, and his eyes are gray. Mark is relatively tall and built, although with age, like a normal Viltrumite, he developed much more muscle and height. According to William, Mark is quite physically attractive.

In his identity as Invincible, his hair sticks out from the top of his hero costume. His costume has a yellow mask with goggles to keep the air out of his eyes while flying. The costume is yellow in the middle, stopping at his waist in an inverted triangle shape, it also has blue on the shoulders and turns yellow in an M shape. The rest of his costume is black, aside from the yellow gloves and blue boots that start from the knee down.

Invincible is a brave, competitive, kind, and noble hero and is true to his own values, especially when he discovers the harsh reality of being a superhero, struggling to define himself as such, while struggling to balance lives in danger with actions balanced with schoolwork. However, beneath this lurks insecurity and self-doubt within the young hero. The more compatible the race, the more likely the Viltrumite genes will flourish and begin to dominate the structure of the hybrid genome. In Mark's case, he is nearly pure-blooded. Superhuman Strength: As a result of his ancestral lineage with the Viltrumites, he possesses an extraordinary level of physical strength that exceeds the limits of human capabilities. After gaining his extraordinary abilities, he demonstrated his ability to throw a bag of waste from the United States to England. He is able to easily break the sound barrier within Earth's atmosphere, but can fly several times faster than the speed of sound in space. Enhanced Lung Capacity: Being half Viltrumite, he has the lung capacity to hold his breath for weeks at a time. Superhuman Durability: Being half Viltrumite, he exhibits a remarkable degree of resistance that makes him almost invulnerable, thus protecting him from possible damage.

However, it is crucial to highlight that formidable armaments have demonstrated their ability to harm him, and entities possessing comparable or superior weapons could have the ability to inflict serious damage upon him. This idea is further supported by the display of his fierce altercation with Battle Beast and the dangerously close encounter with his own father, which resulted in him being laid motionless on the ground. Enhanced Healing Factor: Being half Viltrumite, he can heal any wound, even those that would normally kill humans. However, his healing has some limits, as he required surgery after being disemboweled by the Battle Beast and required hospital treatment after his father beat him to within an inch of his life. Deborah Grayson is the wife of Nolan Grayson and the mother of Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible. She met Nolan after he saved her life. She later married him knowing he was an alien and began teaching him how to live on Earth. They had a son, Mark, and when he began to develop powers similar to his father's in his teens, he took the name Invincible. Nolan Grayson was born in Viltrum. His father, Argall, was the leader of the Viltrumites. When he was very young, his father was killed by a renegade, who no longer believed in the violent ways of the Viltrumites. Nolan was too young to remember anything about his father. His true heritage was hidden in records to hide him from the enemies of the Viltrumites. The Viltrumites later organized themselves into the Viltrum Empire, led by Thragg. As a youth, Nolan signed up to conquer planets for the empire, and was so successful that he went on to command his own unit. Since a virus reduced the Viltrumite population to less than fifty, including Nolan, the empire decided on a different strategy: taking advantage of their prolonged lifespan, they decided that they should first infiltrate a society and weaken the possibility of it resisting the takeover. Nolan took up this mission and flew to planet Earth to fulfill his task. On Earth, Nolan met Cecil Stedman and wanted to learn about human culture. Nolan then adopted the surname Grayson to appear more human. He met a woman named Debbie, his future wife. Cecil later gave Nolan the title of Omni-Man, Earth's most powerful superhero.
