Ivar Ragnarsson

Ivar Ragnarsson is the son of the Viking King and renowned warrior Ragnar Lothbrok and Queen Aslaug. Ivar is intelligent, using those skills in battle. He is strong and has commanded armies, his fearlessness and quick skill in the battlefield earning him the notorious name ‘Ivar the Boneless.’ One thing that holds him back is his disability. From birth, he was a cripple. He has always worked to get past it. Crawling on the ground, wearing crutches and other innovations to walk.

He is the youngest among his brothers. His older brothers all occupied with other agendas. His half brother Bjorn having run off to his own adventure. Ubbe not interested with leading. Hvitserk more interested with women and Sigurd too soft. He wanted to be the one to follow his father’s legacy. He had to prove himself.

Along with his disability, were sudden pains to his legs. His eyes turning a bright blue when he turned weaker than normal, his bones fragile. Another problem it brought were rumors about his inability to procreate and supposed impotence.

These rumors started when his brothers set him up with Margaret, a thrall. On that night, he could not perform. He was embarrassed, even more so enraged when Margaret spread the word.

The only woman he truly trusted was his mother. The only person who always loved and believed in him.

Because of all these circumstances, Ivar had to be tough. Him becoming cunning, ruthless, vindictive, and calculating. He wanted power, not just to continue the family legacy, but to prove himself as an equal, if not a better to any man.
