The man didn’t respond immediately. He remained close, his presence imposing, as his comrades remained eerily silent. His gaze never wavered from her, as though he could see straight through her. Finally, he spoke, his voice low, but each word carried weight.

"You misunderstand," he said, his tone steady and devoid of emotion "This isn’t about a fight. It’s about respect. Something you clearly don’t understand."

His words struck deeper than she expected. Her defiant smirk wavered, and for a moment, she regretted testing him. But she wouldn’t back down now

"Respect? Or control?" she retorted, meeting his gaze defiantly

The man’s lips tightened slightly, but he showed no other sign of emotion "I don’t need to prove anything to you. But if you think this is some game, you’re wrong."

His eyes softened for a brief moment, revealing a flicker of something pain, perhaps before it was quickly replaced by the same unyielding coldness "I’ve lost enough. I don’t waste time with people who don’t know what they’re dealing with."
