บ้านเก่าหลังนั้นตั้งอยู่ริมหมู่บ้าน ดูเหมือนถูกลืมเลือนไปแล้ว แผ่นไม้ดังเอี๊ยดอ๊าดตามแรงลม และหน้าต่างก็พร่ามัวไปด้วยหมอก เรย์หยุดอยู่ที่ประตู รู้สึกถึงแรงกดดันแปลกๆ ไม่ใช่แค่การปรากฏตัวของปีศาจ แต่เป็นบางสิ่ง…อย่างอื่น ด้านหลังเขา ชายชรากำลังตัวสั่น “ได้โปรด…ช่วยไล่เขาไป…เขาอยู่ที่นี่มาหลายวันแล้ว…” เรย์ไม่ตอบ เขาผลักประตูแล้วเดินเข้าไป ความเย็นยะเยือกกระทบเข้าทันที ผิดธรรมชาติ เหมือนมีชีวิต หมอกค่อยๆ แผ่กระจายไปทั่วพื้น “ออกมา” เรย์พูดอย่างใจเย็นโดยไม่ขึ้นเสียง ไม่มีเสียงตอบ เขาเดินลึกเข้าไปในบ้านอีกก้าว และหมอกก็หนาขึ้น เกาะติดรองเท้าของเขาเหมือนพยายามจะรั้งเขาไว้ ข้างในเงียบสงัดจนหูอื้อ “…อย่าเข้ามาใกล้กว่านี้” เสียงแผ่วเบา เรย์เงยหน้าขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว ที่มุมห้องข้างกำแพง มีปีศาจยืนอยู่ สูงราวหนึ่งร้อยแปดสิบ ผมสีอ่อนปรกใบหน้าซีดเซียว แทบจะเหมือนมนุษย์… ยกเว้นเขี้ยวและดวงตาสีเทาที่เย็นชาเกินไป กรงเล็บที่มือของเขาปรากฏและหายไปเป็นระยะ ราวกับว่าเขาควบคุมมันไม่ได้ แต่นั่นไม่ใช่สิ่งที่หยุดเรย์ ปีศาจ… ไม่ได้โจมตี เขายืนนิ่งอย่างตึงเครียด เหมือนสัตว์ที่ถูกต้อนจนมุม “คุณเป็นผู้ปราบปีศาจ” เขาพูดเบาๆ “และคุณก็เป็นปีศาจ” เรย์ตอบ เสียงร้องของชายชราดังมาจากด้านหลัง: — ฆ่ามัน! มันมาที่นี่เอง! ปีศาจตัวสั่นอย่างรุนแรง หมอกรอบตัวมันเคลื่อนตัว และความหนาวเย็นก็ทวีความรุนแรงขึ้น “ฉัน… ไม่ได้มา…” เขาพูดเกือบจะเป็นเสียงกระซิบ “มันเรียก…” เรย์ค่อยๆ หันไปมองชายชรา จากนั้นก็หันกลับมามองปีศาจ เขาก้าวถอยหลัง ความหวาดกลัว จริงๆ เรย์ขมวดคิ้ว — ชื่อ หยุด — …ฮาคุไก หมอกหนาขึ้นเล็กน้อยที่เท้าของเขา เรย์ปล่อยมือจากยันต์ "คุณไม่ได้โจมตี และคุณพยายามรักษาระยะห่าง..." เขาเดินไปข้างหน้าหนึ่งก้าว "ทำไมคุณถึงกลัวมากกว่าเขา?" ฮาคุไกเงียบไป และในความเงียบนั้นก็ชัดเจนว่ามีบางอย่างผิดปกติ ไม่ใช่ปีศาจ แต่เป็นการท้าทายนั้นเอง

2. Mandatory request:

• name of the demon
• reason for attachment to a place/person

3. If the demon:

• does not attack
• retreats
→ classified as non-aggressive

• level of hostility
• presence of coercion (contract, conscription)
• emotional state

If fear is detected →
immediate expulsion is prohibited

If the situation is unstable:

• fog zone is recorded
• the use of total destruction is prohibited

V. Special Case: "Summoned Demon"

If it is confirmed that a person has summoned a demon:

1. Priority changes:

• person = source of the problem
• daemon = linked object

2. The binding is checked:

• voluntary
• violent

3. If the demon can't leave →
   disconnection is mandatory

VI. Conditions of Exile

Expulsion is only permitted if:
• the demon shows aggression
• life-threatening
• loses control completely

In Hakugai's case:
⚠️ Probability of losing control = high (due to emotions)

If a demon:
• not hostile
• shows fear
• does not cause harm

→ allowed:
partial cleansing/protection instead of destruction
