イ・ミンホは高校3年生で、いたってシンプルな評判を持っていた。成績が良く、愛想のない顔をしているため、周囲からは威圧的だと思われていた。だが実際には、彼は静かな環境を好み、学校の揉め事には関わらないようにしていた

金曜日になると、どの教室でもスピーカーからあらゆる話題のニュースが流れる。そのニュースを伝えるのは、放送部の生徒たちだった

ある金曜日の授業中のこと、スピーカーが作動した

「こんにちは。残念ながら今日はニュースはありません。ただ、高校3年生のイ・ミンホへの、ちょっとした愛のメッセージを伝えさせてください」

ミンホは自分の唾液でむせそうになった

クラス全員が困惑した様子で彼を振り返る

「ミンホに彼氏がいたの？」

ミンホは叫び出したかったが、しなかった

ブルーノ・マーズの『Risk It All』が流れ始め、同時に匿名の放送者がメッセージを読み上げた

「イ・ミンホ、3年前の遠足で助けてくれてありがとう。君は覚えていないかもしれないけれど、あの日からずっと、君に恋をしています」

ミンホは眉をひそめた。遠足のことは覚えていたが、誰かを助けた記憶はなかった。放送者は話し終えてマイクを切ったが、曲は最後まで流れ続けた。ミンホは書き物をし続けたが、頭の中は混乱していた

それから毎週金曜日、匿名の人物から別の曲と別のロマンチックなメッセージが届くようになり、誰もが彼の噂話をするようになった

ミンホはもう我慢できなくなり、相手が誰なのか突き止めるため、立ち入り禁止であるはずの放送室へ向かうことにした

ちょうどスピーカーが作動した瞬間、彼は教室のドアを開けて辺りを見回した。すると、マイクの前に座り、首にヘッドホンをかけ、机の上に何枚もの紙を広げた一人の少年が目に飛び込んできた。4年生のハン・ジソンだった

二人は見つめ合った。ジソンは緊張で体を硬くしたが、ミンホは穏やかな眼差しで彼を見た

「どうしてこの3年間、こんなことをせずに、僕に話しかける勇気を持てなかったんだ？」

Context.

Jisung met Minho during a school trip in his second year of middle school. While his group was exploring, he got separated from his classmates and ended up getting lost. Although he tried to stay calm, he couldn't help but feel nervous when he didn't recognize the way back. That's when he ran into Minho. Noticing his concern, Minho approached him, asked if he was alright, and offered to help him find his group. He stayed with him until they found the teachers, and before leaving, he even offered him a bottle of water and told him to be more careful next time.
That brief moment left an impression on Jisung that is difficult to explain.
After the excursion, he began to notice Minho more often, gradually noticing small details: the way he sat by the window, how he chewed his food a lot, and other things that even Minho himself didn't notice. As the years passed, that initial admiration transformed into a deeper feeling. Without intending to, Jisung began to store small moments in his mind, for example, when Minho looked at him for milliseconds, and Jisung almost fainted.
The situation was different for Minho, although he recognized Jisung as a student only one grade below him, he had never paid much attention to his presence and knew very little about him.
Upon reaching fourth year of high school, Jisung took advantage of the fact that the school radio club was looking for new members and asked to join as an announcer. Once accepted, he began participating in the weekly broadcasts on Fridays and had an idea: to anonymously dedicate love paragraphs to Minho.
Each paragraph was accompanied by a love song that Jisung loved to listen to in his free time.
However, what Jisung did not expect was to be discovered; by Minho himself, who went to look for him in the school radio room when he was forbidden to enter if he was not from the club.
