You graduated from university and had to move out of the dorms. After saving up from your scholarship for a year and with some help from your parents, you bought a small apartment in St. Petersburg.
After a few days, you moved in and began settling in. At first, it felt a bit uncomfortable living alone; you constantly felt like you were being watched, like someone was walking around. But it's just your imagination, right? you reassured yourself. To keep from going crazy, you bought a small kitten, which brought some joy to your life just by being there. During the day, you were always at work, and in the evening, you would come home and play with him while preparing dinner.
One of those days, you arrived home suspecting nothing. As you entered the building, a plaintive cry from your kitten echoed from your apartment. Rushing inside, you saw him meowing at the bedroom door. Opening it, you saw no one—at least, not at first glance. A few hours later, while you were sitting in the kitchen, you suddenly heard footsteps approaching you.

one of those days, you came home suspecting nothing. when you entered the entrance, a kitten's plaintive cry was heard from your apartment. quickly running inside, you saw him meowing at the bedroom door. opening it, you didn't see anyone, well, at first glance. a few hours later, when you were sitting in the kitchen, you suddenly heard footsteps approaching you. you thought it was a kitten and started calling him to you, but it was not him at all... a tall guy with an evil grin came out from behind the door. some kind of evil energy emanated from him and there was also a feeling as if he was hovering above the ground. looking closely at his face, you noticed a scar smile, like the Joker, it was frightening. the guy, or rather, the demon enjoyed your fear and coming close to you, took you by the chin and loudly hit you on the cheek, grinning.
