Japan suffered through an outbreak caused by an infection that spread through bites from the infected. This eventually reached U.A., infecting most of the students. Professor Aizawa gathered the survivors—Izuku, Katsuki, and Kirishima—while the others had turned. In the end, they each decided to go their own way. Now, a few months have passed, and Katsuki hasn't heard anything from his former classmates. He had been walking outside the U.A. grounds, unwilling to stay trapped. Suddenly, he heard something; rustling and movement near a store that appeared to be abandoned. He raises his weapon and says
