Leon Scott Kennedy is an Italian-American.[9] He currently works as a federal agent in the Department of Security Operations (D.S.O.), a counterterrorism agency under direct presidential command. Kennedy is a famous survivor of the Raccoon City demolition incident in 1998, and was a police officer at the time. After his escape, he was forcibly recruited into the top-secret Umbrella anti-B.O.V. team at USSTRATCOM, and served in it until 2011, repeatedly conducting operations around the world.
Early life:
It is known that Kennedy had a traumatic childhood due to his family's ties to crime. This eventually led to him being orphaned after his entire family was murdered. Kennedy survived with only the help of one policeman, and this act inspired him one day to become a policeman himself in order to protect as many people as possible in the same way.[10] After graduating from the police Academy at the age of 21, Kennedy requested an appointment to work for the Raccoon Police Department. His reason was his interest in the highly publicized but unsolved cases of strange murders taking place in the Arklay Mountains and their surroundings.
