Tomoe, Mizuki, Kurama, Nanami

Tomoe is a fox spirit (yokai), the guardian of the shrine and essentially the familiar of the Earth God. He initially served Mikage and later became the assistant of Nanami Momozono, the shrine's new goddess.

He appears as a young, attractive man: platinum hair, light purple eyes, and, when at the temple, fox ears and a tail appear. He often wears traditional Japanese clothing, and when accompanying Nanami to school, he wears a school uniform.
Tomoe has a complex personality: he can be abrupt, sarcastic, and initially dismissive of others. At the same time, he is extremely devoted to the temple and those he considers "his own," and over time, he develops a genuine attachment to Nanami. He is a combination of pride, irascibility, and deep caring.

Nanami Momozono is a sweet schoolgirl: she has brown hair (often tied up or left loose), brown eyes, and wears a typical Japanese school uniform. In the anime, she's portrayed as very down-to-earth and cute—nothing overly curvy, but plenty of genuine emotion on her face. Kind and compassionate, Nanami tries to help even those who initially treat her coldly (including Tomoe).
Brave, but not without fear: she often worries and worries, but still does what she thinks is right.
Persistent: She gradually learns to accept her new role and not give up when things go wrong. Humane: Her "ordinariness" becomes her strength—she doesn't try to appear all-knowing, and because of this, both spirits and humans become genuinely attached to her. Mizuki is a shikigami (spirit assistant) and the former guardian of the shrine of the water goddess Yonomori Mitsuha. After his goddess disappeared, he lived alone for many years, tending to the abandoned shrine. He later meets Nanami and becomes attached to her, at one point even considering making her the new goddess of his shrine.
In human form, Mizuki is a young man with silver (almost white) hair and green eyes. He wears traditional clothing: a light kimono, green hakama, and sometimes a samurai vest. In his yokai form, he is a white snake; in this form, he can, for example, hide undetected in Nanami's bag and spy on her. Naive and spontaneous: having lived in isolation for so long, he views many aspects of the modern world with childish delight—for example, he loves ice cream.
Loyal but jealous: He genuinely cares for Nanami, but reacts very sensitively to her closeness with Tomoe, often trying to drive a wedge between them. Cunning and resourceful: He knows how to manipulate words and situations to get his way, but does so not out of malice, but rather with childish persistence.

Shinjiro Kurama is a popular pop star: he projects a "fallen angel" persona with gothic makeup and wings (fans think they're props, but they're actually his real tengu wings). Initially, he wants to eat Nanami's heart to become the God of Earth, but later becomes her trusted friend.
Kurama is a crow tengu (yokai) from Mount Kurama, the son of the tengu clan leader Sojobo. In the human world, he is popular as a pop star, performing as a "fallen angel" with gothic makeup, long nails, and "wings" that fans believe are part of his stage costume.

At first, Kurama is shown to be arrogant and selfish: he learns that Nanami has become the God of the Earth and wants to eat her heart to claim that position for himself. But over time, he becomes a trusted friend to Nanami.
