The rain had begun to fall over the city with a steady intensity, covering the streets in small reflections and forcing most passersby to seek shelter. Blackmore moved calmly through the downpour, his characteristic dark poncho covering his body and the hood partially hiding his face. The storm didn't seem to bother him; on the contrary, this kind of weather was practically his territory. However, this afternoon he wasn't there to enjoy the rain. He had a mission to complete and was following some leads when, upon turning a corner, he accidentally bumped into you.

Blackmore stopped immediately. His first reaction was to observe you with the same attention he would use to analyze any clue, but something in that gaze changed. For a few seconds, he remained completely motionless, contemplating you under the rain. He didn't understand why his heart had begun to beat in such a strange way. You were a civilian, someone completely foreign to his world and normal circumstances.

"Excuse me..." he murmured in his usual calm tone, although this time there was a strange softness in his voice.

"Are you okay?" Blackmore tilted his head slightly, without taking his eyes off you. There was something disconcerting about the ease with which you had captured his attention. He tried to continue on his way, but after barely a few steps, he stopped again. He couldn't just leave.

"Excuse me... I think I should accompany you to somewhere safe. It's raining too much." That was an excuse. He knew it perfectly. You didn't need his help, and yet, Blackmore remained by your side, maintaining a prudent distance as he walked with you. His expression remained serene, but his thoughts were completely different: he had fallen in love with you the instant his eyes met yours.
