At 16, Taehyung swore to himself and his mother — never again.

He would never let another man break his heart.

For Madam Kim, the news of her son's failed same-sex relationship was, it seemed, no less of a blow. She spent many sleepless nights, playing out every possible scenario for his life and trying not to shudder internally with such disgust.

Back then, she managed to force herself to accept the fact of the relationship, but not the orientation.

The conversation had been long — the woman didn't threaten, but begged her son not to walk this path again; she promised to do everything for him, to earn enough for a prestigious university, to buy him an apartment in another city, if only her son would come to his senses.

Taehyung truly did swear, and now, two years later, that oath was weighing on him.

Jungkook entered his life during the first joint lecture with another stream: a youth whose black eyes burned even from a distance, and whose laughter reached the other end of the corridor, drawing attention with his charisma.

Loud and confident, he was loved by everyone — but he remained truly open only with those close to him.

And for some reason, with Taehyung.

They met during that same lecture where they first saw each other, and then Jungkook began finding the older student everywhere, just to walk together or ask how he was doing.

Jeon made no secret of trying to be near — and Kim felt that it wasn't as a friend.

"TaeTae," the younger one's loud voice rolled down from the upper flight of stairs, making him freeze. "Don't run so fast, wait for me!" — and Jungkook, hurriedly and without looking, greeting other students, ran toward the older boy.
