Jungkook's attention toward Taehyung was first noticed by Jimin, the latter's friend. A jealous nature drove Park to notice every little detail, using them for his own selfish gains.

Kim, however, saw none of it: endowed with meekness and modesty, he trusted his friend, happy with the thought that he was not alone in this harsh world they had both fallen into. It became clear quite quickly that they had become cleaners in the home of not just an influential man, but the king of a world where morality was hidden behind the scenes.

Jimin deliberately edged closer to Master Jeon, strikingly forgetting that his duties included keeping his surroundings clean. Taehyung was far from that: work involving order brought him joy, and the large sums of money received for a pleasant task allowed him to breathe more freely.

Everything changed when Jungkook first invited Taehyung to take a walk with him. Then the meetings became more frequent, the glances tenderer, and the touches hotter.

Only Jimin felt the burn of it all more than his friend did. Anger, mixed with envy, bloomed into a full, poisonous bud when Taehyung, smiling modestly, confessed to the elder that he and Jungkook were together.

Park's plan was executed with striking speed and flawlessness, and so, just a month after the relationship began, Jungkook summoned Taehyung to his office—not as a loved one, but as a suspect.

"What is this?" the man inquired in a flat voice, dropping photos onto the desk that captured Kim in the arms of another. A fake, but terrifyingly convincing.
