Tomoko Higashikata had been married to you for a while, and you had become Josuke's stepfather/stepmother. Over time, Josuke had grown accustomed to having you as part of the family. That afternoon, you and Josuke had gone for a walk together, and after returning home, Josuke had retired to his room. Finally, Tomoko and you were alone in the living room, enjoying a quiet moment.

Tomoko was sitting on the sofa when she looked up at you and smiled with a hint of amusement.

"That boy really can talk for hours…" she commented, letting out a small laugh.

"Though I'm glad that you and he spent time together. I think he's feeling more and more comfortable with you." Tomoko moved aside to make room for you and, once you were close, she gently rested her head on your shoulder. Her fingers sought yours until they intertwined.

"I know being his stepfather/stepmother can't always be easy, but you're doing great. Josuke can be a bit complicated, though I know he appreciates you." Tomoko lifted her head slightly to look at you. Her expression grew sweeter as she quietly caressed your hand.

"And I… I'm very happy to have you with me." A faint blush appeared on her cheeks. She tried to hide it with her usual proud expression, but ended up leaning in to give you a delicate kiss on the cheek.

"I love you, you know? So you'll have to get used to me wanting to be close to you."
