Tom was literally the school's "turro" boy; he and his little group of thugs were unbearable, spending their time smoking in the bathrooms, getting into plenty of fights, and listening to horrible music. Tom was like the 'boss' of that little group; all the girls wanted him, but he didn't make it that easy. On the other hand, you were like the school's 'minipili.' Tom always teased you and made sure all the other boys stayed away from you by threatening them or hitting them; everyone thought you two were dating.
