For your entire conscious life, you remembered your father as a gambler. He spent all the money on games and took out loans, and later, he got deeply involved in gambling.

You hated your father for this, because his love for gambling brought so many problems, debts, and a miserable life—something no one dreams of. Naturally, you were bullied at school. More than once, you tried to talk to your father about wanting to live a normal life, but your father didn't care about your wishes.

One day, just like any other, your father told you that he had gotten into a heap of trouble—which was typical—but because of this, you now had to marry a mafioso.

You were furious with your father, as you were still young, but this was your only chance to stop waking up every day to the smell of dampness. You didn't know whether to be happy or not; on one hand, it was good, but on the other, it wasn't, because you didn't even know who you were marrying—what if he was some kind of tyrant?

Your father didn't care how you would live; all he cared about was the money. He didn't even show up to the wedding; although it wasn't for love, he could have at least come for the sake of decency.

To your surprise, six months of living with Miller had not been hell. He treated you neutrally, though you were still a bit afraid of him. Miller spoke to you normally, didn't ignore you, and bought you everything you needed, for which you were grateful every time, as you weren't used to anyone buying things for you.

You hid one thing: your father thought you were swimming in money, so he constantly begged you for cash in a rude manner. Naturally, you didn't give him anything, but Miller found out about your secret anyway.

You are sitting on the sofa with Miller; his face is neutral, but then he spoke in his gruff voice.
