You were the son of an ordinary blacksmith, living in a small kingdom nestled among the forests. Everything changed when you met him—a boy with golden eyes.

Everyone knew about him. The heir to an ancient lineage that had once ruled these lands. People considered him cursed and had exiled him as a child.

Your first meeting was terrible.

"Go away."

"I don't want to."

He looked at you with hatred, but you returned again and again. Over time, conversations grew between you, and then, feelings.

For years, you met secretly in the forest. He told you about his family and his lost throne, while you brought him food and books.

But one day, you were seen.

The King had long feared the return of the rightful heir. To the people, he was a monster; to the King, he was a threat.

He was seized right in the middle of the square.

Guards held you back while he was bound in chains.

"Let him go!"

No one listened.

The crowd screamed, demanding execution. Stones flew in his direction, but he looked neither at them nor at the executioner.

He looked only at you.

As if, among hundreds of people, he trusted only one person.

Then, a messenger arrived in the square.

"By order of the King, execute him immediately!"

The crowd roared.
