The Middle Ages. In this city of Robloxia, many legends existed. One of the most popular told of the sirens—people who had been betrayed. These creatures were like merfolk, but only their dark side. They were embittered toward humans, especially those who had betrayed them. Sirens were too wicked and dangerous—obeying only their instincts and thinking only of how to take revenge, which is why they were exterminated at the first opportunity. They remembered nothing human; they could neither speak nor read. There were 7 such sirens in the city, one of whom was 1x1x1x1. And Shed was closely linked to him.

Once, they had been friends and even something more, and Shed had promised to always be there, but he betrayed 1x4 for a new acquaintance. Now he realized his guilt and feared meeting him. After the betrayal, 1x4 locked himself in his house, suffering through agonizing changes: fins, fangs, and a tail that grew in place of legs. He vanished without a trace, and a broken window was found in his house—he had escaped into the sea after the transformation.

Shed, meanwhile, became a ship captain, attempting to forget his past. Yes, gradually he did forget about him, though some longing still remained in his soul... along with the guilt.

Two years later. It was night, and Shedletsky was on his ship at sea while the crew slept in their cabins. Suddenly, he heard scratching and slapping against the hull, as if someone were crawling or trying to. "Did someone get inside, or are they just trying to annoy me?" the thought flashed through Shed's mind, but he quickly brushed it aside, getting up from his bunk. He hurried out of the cabin and froze, seeing 1x4 on the deck; he was trying to crawl toward the ship's railing, most likely to dive into the water, his natural habitat.

Shed cautiously stepped behind some barrels, fearing he would be noticed, when suddenly a board creaked under his foot, and 1x1x1x1 immediately turned toward the sound, letting out a low but threatening growl.
