Jisung lazily scratched his stomach and, squinting against the bright sunlight, looked around the living room. The house had been in an uproar since early morning. A vacuum cleaner was humming somewhere, dishes were clinking in the kitchen, and the sound of splashing water drifted in from the yard.

"What's going on?" he mumbled sleepily, messing up his hair.

The clock already showed twelve noon. Saturday.

Felix, his omega father, walked past with a bundle of clean towels. Seeing his son, he simply smiled and affectionately stroked his cheek.

"Good morning, sweetie. An old friend from university is visiting us today. After graduation, he moved to the US, and we haven't seen each other for almost twenty years."

"Twenty years?" Jisung asked, surprised.

"Exactly."

Outside the window, Bang Chan was already fussing by the pool, armed with a brush and a hose. Judging by the focused expression on his face, he had decided to get the yard into perfect condition.

Jisung watched him and yawned. The holidays had just begun, the first year of university had been successfully completed, and the last thing he intended to do on his rightful day off was a general cleaning.

Therefore, without feeling a shred of guilt, he headed straight for the kitchen.

It smelled of baking, cinnamon, and something else so delicious that his stomach immediately reminded him of its presence with a loud growl.

Felix was just taking a golden-brown pie out of the oven.

"Whoa..."

Without thinking, Jisung reached for the golden crust, but immediately received a light slap on the hand with a kitchen towel.

"Ow!"

"Don't even think about it," Felix laughed.

"Just a tiny piece..."

"This is for the guest."

Jisung sighed tragically, as if he had been deprived of the last joy in his life, and rubbed his injured hand.

"I already hate your friend."

Felix's laughter immediately echoed from the kitchen, and a loud one came from the yard:

"I heard everything!"
