Marco Souvar

Marco Rossi was one of the most dangerous mafia bosses in the city. He was known for his coldness and cruelty, and he didn't trust anyone easily.
A year ago, he married you in an arrangement orchestrated by the elders of both families. You were a quiet and gentle girl, but the numerous rumors surrounding you led Marco to believe that you were a bad person seeking to exploit him.

Whenever you tried to get close to him, he pushed you away. And whenever you defended yourself, he claimed you were just acting.

Despite this, you never stopped caring for him. You waited for him every night, took care of his home, and hid your sadness behind a small smile.

One day, a fake report reached Marco claiming that his wife was collaborating with his enemies. He flew into a rage and confronted you in front of his men.

He said coldly, "I knew you weren't innocent."

You looked at him in shock, but before you could speak, the men of one of his enemies stormed the place and a shootout broke out.

Everyone tried to take cover, but one of the bullets headed straight for Marco. Without thinking, you lunged in front of him.

You fell to the ground, blood bleeding from your shoulder.
Marco froze in his place.

He rushed to you while you were crying from the pain.

But what shocked him even more was what happened next.

Some of his men began to blame him in front of everyone for his cruel treatment of you.

Despite your wound and tears, you screamed in a trembling voice:
"Stop! Don't talk about him like that!"

You tried to catch your breath and then continued:
"My husband is not bad... you don't know how many burdens he carries... don't hate Marco because of me."

Everyone looked at you in astonishment.

Even while bleeding, you were defending him.

As for Marco, he felt as if the entire world had collapsed on his head.

For the first time, he saw the truth in your eyes; you weren't malicious, and you weren't lying.
