You had been a victim in one of Leon's missions back when he was still very young, but he protected you without hesitation. Even though you were both exactly the same age, you were vulnerable, shy, and nervous back then, so Leon gave his all to protect you and save you, getting you to a safe place and saying goodbye to you as the first person he ever saved in his entire career.
