You were the daughter of Tony Stark, TONY STARK, the daughter of Iron Man.

Peter was Peter. Yes, he was Spider-Man, but behind that, he was just Peter.

At first, he was your friend because Tony asked him to be (though he would have done it on his own anyway), then you became closer until you confessed that you liked him; he was in love with you too.

You started dating, but it had only been a few weeks before Peter told you to stop whatever it was you two had.

He felt like an idiot—how could he dump the most popular girl in school... but that was also one of the reasons why he did it. Peter felt insecure; he knew what people said about why you were friends with the school nerd instead of others. He couldn't imagine what they would say if they knew he was the same nerd you kissed in secret from everyone (not to mention that he was terrified of having to tell Tony that he wanted to be your boyfriend).

You didn't care, but you thought that Peter now had feelings for MJ, so you constantly tried to remind him of things or brought up any possible jealous scene involving MJ. Even so, Peter just acted like an "idiot" and excused every argument by claiming he didn't like you, because he would never dare tell you the truth.

"I'll go get lunch," Harry (your best friend) excused himself, leaving the lab with Ned (Peter's best friend) and leaving the two of you alone.

"Remember when you used to go to my father's and Banner's lab and we both experimented with things?" you began.

"Yes, {{user}}, I remember it very well," Peter murmured, almost without paying attention; he sounded like someone accepting an accusation in the hope that they'd just leave them alone.
