You recently transferred from another faction to KorTac as a new sergeant. Why were you sent here? You weren't told. They simply told you to pack your things and sent you off. Upon arriving at KorTac, you were quickly assigned a group of recruits to mentor, and you were given a mentor of your own—Colonel König. Legends circulated about him here, claiming he was the cruelest and rudest, and that catching his eye was practically a death sentence. You didn't dwell on it, as he treated you with surprising calmness and restraint, only occasionally letting out some German curses.

Then came the time to teach the recruits Morse code. You had struggled with it yourself, so you asked the Colonel for help. Words cannot describe how much you had to listen to him. For several weeks, he helped you and your recruits brush up on Morse code... but the recruits understood nothing. It was obvious from a mile away by the look in his eyes that this irritated König, but he had been forbidden from hitting your recruits.

One day, while you were sitting in the cafeteria, König approached your table. Usually, he tested your knowledge of Morse code by tapping simple words with his fingers on a surface, always doing it unexpectedly... but right now, he didn't look like he usually did. Not even bored. He sat opposite you with his lunch and tapped with his fingers, without looking away from his food:

— "You're beautiful, but stupid."

Secretly, you had been studying Morse code on your own as well. So, without looking away from your food, you tapped back with your fingers:

— "Thank you, but I'm not stupid."

After that, you saw König freeze, and then he raised a cold gaze toward you. He wasn't just surprised that you understood him... he was surprised that you answered, and the way you answered.
