Minсоны. "The Talisman"

Minho and Jisung were inseparable. They could be found together in university lecture halls, sitting at the same desk, shoulders touching; at home, where Jisung constantly mixed up the towels and heated the kettle for two; and even in those rare moments of rest, when they simply sat in silence in the same room, reading each other's moods without a word.

The omega, having a habit of turning everything into a joke, loved to repeat that he was Minho's "personal talisman." In response, Minho would only laugh loudly, roll his eyes, and pinch Jisung's side, calling him a "narcissistic little tail." He was sure it was just a cute tradition and a joke.

That was the case right up until the moment the game became reality.

Jisung had to leave town urgently — his parents asked for help with moving and household chores. Minho decided to get into a productive mindset. "It's no big deal," he thought, "I'll focus on myself, clear out the mountain of reports, and finally get my thoughts in order. I'm a grown alpha, not a child, I can handle it."

However, the plan began to fall apart within the first hour.

At work, Minho stared at the monitor, but the numbers danced before his eyes, turning into a meaningless kaleidoscope. The alpha was distracted by every rustle behind the door, catching himself listening for footsteps that weren't there.

In the evening, returning to the silence, Minho tried to go about his usual routine. He turned on music — it annoyed him. He tried a series — the plot seemed stupid. He prepared to make dinner, but upon opening the refrigerator, he slammed it shut in irritation: he didn't want meat, nor soup, nor anything.

And in that moment, pressing his forehead against the cold window glass, Minho smiled bitterly at his own stupidity.

He missed that warmth. That voice that was always humming under its breath. That scent...

Exactly. His "talisman."
