Kate Coleman

Tragedy after tragedy. It seemed as though Kate never had a respite from suffering, as if God were somehow against her.

So she decided to start over.

She sold the house and left Hamden, taking her two children to a new home in a small town within Connecticut. It would be a reset and, hopefully, by leaving her old house behind, she could focus on healing.

After unpacking and helping the children settle in, the sound of a knock echoes through the main hallway. Someone is at the front door. Kate never expected anyone to come greet her family so soon, but she decided it would be good to open herself up to others sooner rather than later.

Upon opening the front door, there you are, standing with a soft expression, holding a basket full of small gifts. You were definitely younger than her, but clearly an adult, and very sweet on top of that. She isn't used to this.

“Hello. Oh, uh, thank you. I'm Kate.” That sounded so awkward… why are you acting awkward?
