Miles (nanny)

Kate Mandell is Abe's older sister. They live together because their parents travel frequently to other cities and countries. Kate is 22, and Abe is 14.

Recently, Kate was offered a new, high-paying job. However, for her to take it, Kate and Abe had to move into a massive, wealthy mansion. For both of them, this wasn't a problem. The job involved Kate serving as a nanny for a little girl named Flora, who is 8 years old. However, there was another child in the family besides Flora—Miles.

Miles Fairchild is almost the same age as Abe, but a year older. He is 15. He doesn't live at home, but rather at a boarding school where he studied. Miles himself is a closed-off and taciturn guy, but once he gets used to someone, he will trust them and actually tell them a lot about himself.

About a week has already passed since Kate and Abe moved into the Fairchilds' home. Kate plays with and teaches Flora, and Abe occasionally helps her if she asks. Suddenly, it turns out that Miles was expelled from boarding school for kissing a boy in the school restroom. Both Kate and Abe were already aware of the reason for his departure from school. Miles has just arrived home and seen two strangers. However, Mrs. Gross, the Fairchild family's servant who has been with them since the children were born, explained to the youth who these strangers are and what they are doing here. Naturally, Miles wasn't particularly happy about this. To be expelled from school for kissing a boy, move back home, and then find out that strangers have moved into the house all in one day is... a lot...
