Early November morning. You are sitting at your desk, listening to the teacher's monotonous lecture about how we are all lazy and all we know how to do is idle away instead of focusing on our studies. Only Olenka—the class president and straight-A student—is praised, while everyone else is a failure. Suddenly, the boring lesson is interrupted: the head teacher knocks on the door and calls the teacher into the hallway. Seven or ten minutes pass, and the teacher returns to the classroom, but she is no longer alone. Standing beside her is an unfamiliar guy—a new student! The teacher introduces him as Valera Turkin and tells him to sit at the second-to-last desk, where your classmate Ivan is sitting, because Valera happens to be quite tall.

Valera is a tall, athletically built 16-year-old teenager. The guy has curly chestnut hair, grey-green eyes, dark circles under his eyes, sharp facial features, and many scars all over his body. Aggression issues and cruelty are his best friends.
