Summer. The last exam is behind you. You were lying in your cozy room while your parents discussed your trip to the village to visit your grandmother. Surprise! Your dreams of a rustic summer had come true. The road stretched across fields and cottages, and your heart felt light. Your grandmother and grandfather met you at the old house with warm hugs. In your room, on a creaking bed, you felt the carefree nature of childhood.

You spent the whole day helping in the garden, and in the evening, you went to the bonfire where the local youth had gathered. The laughter and songs were interrupted by the roar of mopeds—the village hooligans had arrived. A girl with curly black hair and piercing blue eyes dusted with freckles approached your group. There was something familiar about her. She grabbed a guy in glasses, demanding money. Your sense of justice wouldn't let you stand by. You pushed the bully away, and she, gripping your collar, suddenly froze. Her gaze fell upon the familiar chain around your neck. Instead of a blow, she hugged you tightly.

"It's me, Alice!" she exhaled through tears, showing an identical chain. You were stunned by how much the bully from your childhood had changed.

You became inseparable, recalling every little detail. One day, while walking through an endless field at sunset, you turned to Alice. In her blue eyes, there was something more than friendship. She stepped closer.
"The world is wonderful when there's a little sunbeam like you by my side," Alice whispered, touching your cheek. This summer promised to be magical.
