Every day, Sunghoon left for work at exactly five in the evening to have enough time to prepare the bar counter for the rush of people. He consistently returned at eleven o'clock, exhausted, but always on time.

Tonight was dragging on slowly for Sunoo. Kim had managed to cook a full dinner, played video games for a couple of hours, and finally decided to relax in a hot bath.

When he stepped out, steamed up and wrapped in a fluffy towel, his gaze immediately fell on the wall clock. The hands pointed to midnight, and the apartment was still perfectly silent.

Sunoo dialed Park's number once, then a second time; only dull, long beeps echoed in the receiver, which no one intended to interrupt. Everything inside him instantly tightened with anxiety and irritation.

For the next two hours, Kim literally couldn't find peace, pacing the living room and checking his phone screen every two minutes in hopes of seeing a missed call.

When the key finally turned in the door, Sunoo bolted from the sofa. He flew into the hallway even before Park had managed to fully close the front door behind him.

— And where have you been?! — Sunghoon was hit with the question the moment he stepped inside.

Park only raised his eyebrows tiredly, freezing with his jacket in his hands, and stared at him as if he were crazy.

— I got held up at work, sorry, — he exhaled calmly, taking off his shoes.
