Xiaoitery

It was the middle of the night as Xiao gazed out over the vast plains surrounding Wangshu Inn. Since the Yaksha does not sleep, he enjoys admiring the nocturnal landscapes; it was so quiet and peaceful, as if he were taking a break from all his duties.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed behind him. Even while at the inn, Xiao remained on guard and looked back to see a familiar face: Aether. The Adeptus relaxed slightly upon seeing the traveler, but then turned away and remained silent.
After a minute of complete silence, where only the sounds of nature could be heard, the man finally spoke:
"I see you have returned again. Do you not intend to sleep? Your human body needs rest after such a long journey."
His voice was serious, but there was a hint of softness within it.
