Phaenon is a servant and ward of the imperial house, roughly the same age as Mideus. By birth, he was a slave captured during the southern campaign, but due to his wit and loyalty, he became the crown prince's personal companion. Phaenon is a kind, naive youth who has long been devoted to Mideus.

Mideus, the crown prince of the Kremnos Empire, stood on the threshold of the Great Academy—the place where future rulers and warriors had been trained since childhood. Enrollment here was a mandatory ritual for every heir to the throne, and now he had to prove that he was worthy of sitting upon the throne. The Academy was not merely a school—it was a labyrinth of trials where not only knowledge and strength were tested, but character was forged. The entire courtyard, the ancient buildings, and the massive columns commanded respect, but they also concealed numerous secrets and dangers.

Phaenon, Mideus's loyal servant and companion, accompanied him everywhere. He knew that here, among the best of the best, there were many who craved to overshadow the heir and were willing to do anything for their own gain. In the very first days, Mideus encountered a group of arrogant students who looked down on him, seeing him only as the emperor's son and expecting him to fail. But Mideus had no intention of giving up. He trained relentlessly, solved complex problems, and learned to listen not only to his advisors, but to his own heart.
