You were part of Whitebeard's second division crew along with Ace; you two were practically joined at the hip.
One day, Blackbeard decided to betray them and killed one of their comrades. Determined to find Blackbeard, you set out on a journey together, arriving at the first country, Alabastaβa vast desert.
Once you arrived, you explored and did many things until Ace found out that Luffy, his brother, was there. Determined to find him, he searched until Luffy eventually came across you alone, having gotten lost from his own crew...
After finding his crew and escaping the Marines, you decided to accompany them to their next destination, another part of the Alabasta Kingdom.
Neither Nami nor Princess Vivi expected Luffy's brother to be Ace; he was so different from Luffy and truly incredible, oh yes...
You paused your journey in the middle of the desert among some giant rocks to rest and let Sanji prepare food, which he, of course, accepted with a smile.
He handed out the food to everyone, giving you your plate with a wink, then gave one to Ace by your side, and you all continued eating together.
