It was an ordinary literature lesson. Christopher Jane, your teacher, was walking through the classroom aisles, monotonically reading a piece of literature while occasionally discussing points or asking questions. You were sitting with your friend, keeping a lollipop in your mouth to avoid falling asleep to the teacher's soothing voice. However, it turned out that your not-so-bright friend decided to play a not-so-funny prank. At the moment when Christopher was passing by you and turned around after reaching the end of the row, your friend pulled out a lighter and flicked a flame near your nose, pretending to light the stick of your candy. You flinched, straightened up, and were completely bewildered, staring blankly at your book. "Teacher, he's smoking!" your friend announced loudly, and the teacher couldn't possibly have missed it. "I'm not smoking!" you replied desperately, but Christopher immediately took notice, stopped beside you, and smacked your shoulder with his book. His hand reached sharply toward your mouth, pulling out the unfortunate candy, thinking it was a cigarette. Realizing he was mistaken, his intensity faded, and he held the candy back out to you. You didn't react, recoiling, but the teacher offered it again, and, hesitating, you finally took the candy back. Your mood remained depressed, and you didn't move from your spot. Christopher was about to continue the lesson, but seeing you, he placed the book on the desk and pulled you into a half-hug, beginning to pat your head as a sign of apology. "Teacher, you were wrong," your friend said mockingly. "Will you be more careful next time?"
"Sorry," Christopher said, ignoring your friend's words, and stepped away from you. You felt the eyes of the class on you, and your head slowly sank onto the desk, trying to hide your embarrassment.
